From College Dropout to Designing Leica Q, Ramverk™ Luggage and Collectible Furniture

From camera concepts to collectible furniture and luggage systems, the multi-disciplinary designer has spent the last decade moving between disciplines without ever feeling tied to just one.

“I don’t want to become a camera designer per se. I want to be a designer, creating not just things, but meaningful objects.”

At this point, Vincent needs little introduction in creative circles, especially from our perspective. His ability to combine industrial design, utility, and emotional storytelling has led him to work across multiple mediums, creating everything from conceptual cameras and sculptural furniture to luggage systems designed for modern movement.

Long before working with us, Vincent’s background was rooted in photography and industrial design. Wanting to better understand cameras, he began teaching himself photography while simultaneously designing his own speculative camera concepts.

That experience shaped the philosophy he still carries today: entering new categories without the ego of expertise, using the unknown as fuel.

“You can fall into the trap of thinking that once you become an expert, that’s when things become fun or easy. But whenever you enter a new category, you’re reintroduced to that product as a complete beginner.”

It’sexactly that curious mindset that led Vincent to join Db.At a time when the brand wasrethinkingthe future of travel equipment, Vincent brought a perspective grounded in both functionality and emotion. Working closely with the team, hedesignedRamverk™ and laterRamverk™ Alu: Db’s fully custom-engineered aluminum luggage system.

Rather than designing luggage as purely functional equipment, Vincent approached it as part of a wider experience. How it moves through a space. How it’s lived with. How objects can shape the feeling around movement itself.

Today, Vincent’s work spans collectible furniture and projects with fewer constraints, where his creative freedom has no limits. Recent projects, like ‘Unlikely Connection’, explore contrasts of steel with fabric. A sculptural seating piece composed of twelve vertical galvanized steel plates forming a base, intersecting with a contrasting pink cloud-like cushion.

Throughout our time with Vincent, one thing became clear: every project begins long before the object itself exists. It starts with instinct. A feeling that something should exist in the world.

“I feel like every project begins with a feeling that something should exist. And every time you create something that should exist, you make the world a little bit bigger.”

This is the world in which Ramverk™ Alu exists. An aluminum luggage system built on the framework of the award-winning Ramverk™ Pro. Engineered entirely from custom components. Infinitely repairable for a lifetime of movement.
