Driving home for the holidays with Db and Erling Haaland

This year, we unite with Erling Haaland for a holiday campaign rooted in nostalgia, humour, and the universal ritual of getting home.

Traveling home for the holidays takes on different forms for all of us. But typically, we associate it with driving home, surrounded by family, friends, and loved ones. Cramped in the back of the car, with people’s luggage piled up on either side of you. Arguing over who will take the sofa bed. Loud conversations filled with pre-Christmas excitement, with ‘Top 50 Christmas Hits’ filling the odd break in the chatter. Asking probing, sometimes intrusive questions. Some more important than others. What is the meaning of life? Where do we come from? What does Db stand for?

We enlisted the help of a familiar face, Erling Haaland, a once-in-a-generation striker for Norway and Manchester City and Db investor, to set the record straight and answer one of Scandinavia’s most asked questions: “It’s just Db.”  

“We love making films, and we love brand campaigns - it’s the time of year when we get to indulge. In the lead-up to each, we take inspiration from different cues; during holiday ‘24 and “Keep dreaming differently”, there was a nod to Planes, Trains and Automobiles. This year, we are inspired by the opening scene of National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Nothing screams the holidays more than a road trip with friends and family, usually across beautiful landscapes.” - Jonathan Weaver, Chief Marketing Officer at Db.
