Db Warranty Policy
1. What does the warranty cover?
All physical products manufactured by Db Equipment and purchased directly from Db Equipment on dbjourney.com or from Db Equipment authorized resellers (the "Product") after June 1st, 2021, used in a manner compatible with the Product's intended use, are covered by the warranty set out in this provision (the "Warranty").
The Warranty is limited to manufacturing defects, meaning any deviation from design specifications during production of the Product resulting in a Product's defect, frailty or shortcoming during normal use ("Defects"). These include, but are not limited to:
- Cracks or breaks in the shell
- Defective zippers or seams
- Tears in fabric that affect functionality
- Broken or non-functional hooks, buckles, or structural trims
The warranty also covers damages caused by transport and transit from our factory or warehouse to the original point of sale or customer.
This Warranty is valid only for the period of time the Product is owned by the original purchaser or recipient (if gift) of the Product.
If your Product is damaged in a way that is covered by the Warranty, Db Equipment will determine the most suitable remedy based on the condition and product availability. This may include:
- Repair of the original product
- Replacement with a new or refurbished product of equivalent type and value
- Provision of a replacement part, if appropriate and feasible
All costs, including transportation costs will be covered by Db Equipment.
2. Warranty Coverage (the "Warranty Period")
Db Equipment offers two types of warranty, depending on your membership status at the time of purchase.
Non-Members
If you were not a Db Black member at the time of purchase, your product is covered by your statutory rights as defined under national consumer protection laws. These typically include a 2-year warranty period, with possible extensions depending on your local laws.
Db Black Members
If you were a Db Black member at the time of purchase, Db Equipment offers an extended warranty beyond legal obligations, as follows:
- 7 years for all backpacks, duffels, roller bags, and packs
- 10 years for all luggage products
This extended warranty applies only if the purchaser was an active Db Black member at the time the product was bought.
3. What does the warranty not cover?
The Product shall be handled with due care. The Warranty does not cover wear and tear, resulting from an abnormally harsh use or use that is not compatible with the Product's intended use. These include, but are not limited to:
- Wear and tear caused by normal use
- Damage from abuse, misuse, neglect, or use outside intended purposes
- Cosmetic damage such as scratches, abrasions, fading, or discoloration
- Damages from permanent customization (e.g., embroidery, paint, or patches)
- Product loss or theft
- Locked or inaccessible compartments due to user error
- Multiple repeated claims for the same issue after an initial warranty repair or replacement has already been provided
Damages caused by transport or handling during air travel, including checked-in luggage handling are not covered by this Warranty.
The Warranty must be claimed no later than two (2) weeks after the damage occurred. Increased damages due to a lack of claim are not covered by the Warranty.
Repairs or replacement of damages of the Product will not extend the Warranty Period. Any repairs or replacements are only covered by the Warranty for the remains of the Warranty Period.
If your Product has a damage that is not covered by the Warranty, you may request Db Equipment to repair the damage at a pre-agreed price. Please contact our customer service.
4. How to submit a warranty claim?
If you have any questions or a claim, please contact our customer service or fill out the Db Warranty Form.
When filing a Warranty claim you must provide clear photographic evidence of any Defect in order for Db Equipment to assess if the Warranty claim shall be approved or dismissed.
Claims must be submitted no later than two (2) weeks after the damage occurs. Claims submitted later may be rejected due to insufficient information for proper evaluation.
5. For US citizens
Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the lifetime limitation may not apply to you.
Some states do neither allow the exclusion of implied warranties nor the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations and exclusions may not apply to you.

The customer will be asked to confirm their understanding that trade-ins are final during the online submission process.

The final trade-in value is determined after physical inspection at our repair center. This is the point at which the voucher amount is confirmed and issued. Resale Terms (Db Lost & Found)
Nature of Goods:
Items sold via Db Lost & Found are pre-owned and sold “as is.” Each product is carefully inspected, cleaned, and, where necessary, refurbished before being listed for resale. Products are categorized by condition:
- Excellent Condition: Minimal wear with no visible repairs or damages in key areas. Minor treatments like ozone cleaning or discreet seam restitching may be present but are barely noticeable.
- Very Good Condition: Light wear or minor repairs may be visible in key areas. Examples include small stains, contrast stitching, or replacement trims. The product remains in excellent functional condition.
- Good Condition: Moderate visible repairs or cosmetic signs of wear may appear in key or hidden areas. Examples include faded fabric, a damaged logo, or surface scuffing. Functionality is fully intact.
Warranty:
Cosmetic flaws noted in the listing and accepted at purchase are excluded. You have your statutory rights under national consumer protection laws, typically ranging from 1 year with possible extensions depending on local legislation. You acknowledge that resale items are second-hand, used, and sold “as is” with full transparency about their condition (see “Nature of Goods”).
Returns:
Resale items may be returned within 14 days of receipt, provided they are in the same condition as when received. We encourage conscious shopping to reduce unnecessary transport and environmental impact—if you’re unsure, our team is happy to help you decide before you buy.
Service Availability:
Resale services are currently offered in Norway and the European Union. They are not available in the United Kingdom, Switzerland, the United States, or Canada.
Customer Service:
For questions regarding resale purchases, please contact our support team via the official contact form on dbjourney.com.
