Fast forward to today and Norway have won four of their first five matches, including a famous victory over Brazil to set up a quarter-final against England in Miami this Saturday. Erling has already scored seven goals in the tournament.
But how did Db become part of the story?
Back in November, Truls floated the idea of equipping the Norwegian national team with our new Ramverk Aluminium luggage. Thanks to a well-timed introduction to the right people at the Norwegian Football Federation, we pitched the idea.
The rest is history.
Together we created a limited-edition Ramverk Alu Carry-On, featuring typography inspired by the iconic lettering on Norway's kit. We shipped the cases to the team's headquarters and waited. Like everyone else, we had no idea what to expect.
Then, in early June, the team departed for the USA.
Seeing Erling, Nusa, Martin Ødegaard, Oscar Bobb and the rest of the squad travelling with Ramverk Alu was one of those moments that reminds you why we do what we do.
Since then we've watched the luggage appear everywhere—from airport arrivals and stadium tunnels to celebrations in the streets, with fans even rowing through cities on their suitcases. This tournament has delivered moments none of us could have imagined.
Over the years we've had a handful of "pinch me" moments. This is undoubtedly one of them.
Just over a decade ago we were making Snow Rollers and backpacks. Since then we've gone on to support snowboarders, surfers, skaters, cyclists, photographers, creatives and travellers around the world.
Today, as Norway prepares for one of the biggest matches in its football history, we're proud to stand behind the national team.
This weekend we'll all be watching—from living rooms and bars to city squares, stadiums and airports.
Football has a unique way of bringing people together, and we're incredibly proud to play a small part in the journey of a team that arrived as a dark horse and is now capturing the world's attention.
