Like surfing, tie-dyeing is an art form - the lines you draw are unique, completely yours, and once you make them, there’s no going back. Bleach dying is about finding your own style and not being afraid to experiment with different tools.
Sage has been creating bleach art for almost 10 years, picking up the hobby as and when her rigorous travel schedule allowed. When the lockdowns came in 2020 and Sage was able to spend a concentrated amount of time at home, she started honing her bleaching skills and suggested creating a bag. The rest is history.
Last year, Sage tested out different fabrics and approaches to designing her tote until she found the one that stuck; there wasn’t an awful lot of method to her madness - just a little bit of this and a little bit of that until we all settled on the design that was perfect for Db and perfect for you guys.
Ultimately, the Db x Sage Erickson Tote is a piece of self expression. Self expression for Sage to lay her creativity bare for the world to see, and self expression for you to go against the grain and have your go-to shoulder bag look a little different from the rest.
