Db Lost & Found
Launched in August 2025. Get your bag repaired, trade it in for credit toward your next one, or buy someone else's restored for less. Run with Bleckmann in Belgium and Norway, with repairs by Cilab. It's small so far, and it grew from nothing with little marketing behind it — which tells us the appetite is real.
Built to be repaired
Everything we make is engineered so it can be taken apart and repaired, and we're working hard on making that process easier. Our luggage is screwed together rather than riveted and the dividers clip in rather than being sewn, so parts can be swapped. We estimate our gear lasts around twenty years, based on our own testing, our repair and claims history, and how the products are designed — there's no public benchmark to compare that against.
What isn't working.
Our bags aren't recyclable, and we should say that plainly. A single product can contain up to 150 different components, and our main fabrics are coated with polyurethane, which no technology today can separate from the weave. Take one apart carefully and most of the hardware can be recycled; the fabric can't, at least not at scale — though we're running pilots to get there. Cutting fabric to shape also wastes 15% of every roll.
All of our packaging is recyclable. That's the easy half. So our honest answer to end-of-life is to keep the bag in use as long as humanly possible, and to keep testing coatings that can actually be recycled.
